Booking Intensive Driving Lessons in Hillingdon

Each learner driver is unique—so why do other driving schools make everyone take the same course?

At PassMeFast, we’re shaking up the world of intensive driving lessons. Our nine different courses, from 5 hours through to 48 hours, are tailored to learners with different levels of driving experience. You can find all of them over at our prices page.

Better still, you control the structure of your lessons. If you have plenty of free time at your disposal, you can opt for a fully intensive pace, taking up to five hours of lessons per day. Don’t worry if you’re a bit more pressed for time, though—semi-intensive course structures are available too, from just two hours per session. Our 25 hour course, for example, could be taken over a 5 day period, or spread out over a few weeks.

Interested in automatic intensive driving lessons in Hillingdon?

If manual lessons aren’t your thing, you may wish to consider learning in an automatic car. All of our courses are available in both manual and automatic vehicles, with the latter being a good option if you’re struggling with gear changes and clutch control. Learn more by visiting our automatic courses page.

All of our courses are taught by DVSA-approved instructors. Friendly, patient and knowledgeable, they’ll help you make progress on driving skills and manoeuvres, and teach you the quirks of the local road network. They’ll even pick you up from home or work!

Our fast-tracking department, meanwhile, will be hard at work finding you a test to take place weeks or even months ahead of the usual waiting times you’d find if you searched on the DVSA website.

Practical Driving Test Centres in Hillingdon

With four test centres within its borders, Hillingdon has more practical test centres than any other London borough. Pinner test centre, though named after a town in neighbouring Harrow, is actually found on the edge of Hillingdon, and is ideal for learners in Northwood and Ruislip. In the west of the borough lies Uxbridge test centre, while Hayes is close to the centre of the borough. Yeading test centre, meanwhile, lies close to the border with Ealing. It may be worth not focusing too much on the stats if taking your test here, though—Yeading held the unfortunate distinction of having the UK’s worst pass rate in 2017/18.

Theory Test Centres in Hillingdon

Only six London boroughs have both at least one practical test centre and a theory test centre—and, thankfully for local learners, Hillingdon is one of them. The Uxbridge theory test centre is, therefore, the best choice for any learners who haven’t passed yet. Be sure to read out guide on how to avoid test day nerves if you’re feeling a little stressed out!

Haven't taken your theory test yet?

As well as providing you with a wealth of knowledge that will come in handy when you’re on the road for real, there’s an even more pressing reason why you’ll want to pass your theory test sooner rather than later: you can’t book a practical test without a valid theory test pass! Make sure you include a theory test when you make a booking if you haven’t already passed.

Driving Around Hillingdon

As one of London’s largest and outermost boroughs, Hillingdon has a little of everything. Along its borders with Hertfordshire and Berkshire, you’ll come across narrow country lanes in some of Greater London’s rare rural areas. More urban conditions can be found in towns such as Hayes—and, of course, it would be impossible to discuss traffic in Hillingdon without mentioning junction 4 of the M4, whose proximity to Heathrow Airport makes it a tricky drive even for experienced motorists. (Learners are allowed on motorways now, so you could theoretically head here with your instructor—but we wouldn’t blame you for giving it a miss!)

Map of Hillingdon within Greater London

While your practical test won’t encompass the whole of Hillingdon, it will take in as many different types of roads and junctions as possible. After all, the aim is to test your ability in a variety of scenarios, so you’re sure to be given a challenge! Luckily, PassMeFast have already helped thousands of learners to get on the road—we know what we’re doing here. (Just check out a few of our pass photos!) No one can ever guarantee that any individual test will result in a guaranteed pass, but our structured and tailored driving lessons will teach you everything you need to know to become a safe driver for life—with a great chance of passing first time, even in the tricky environs of Hillingdon.
