Arriving at Gloucester Theory Test Centre

By public transport

No wheels? No problem! Gloucester theory test centre is easy to get to via public transport, which is lucky as the reason you’re here is that you’re yet to earn a licence!

One of the most popular ways to get in and out of Gloucester is by rail. If you fancy taking a train to the test centre, you’ll find that it is an easy-breezy 7-minute walk from Gloucester railway station.

If you think that sounds simple, wait until you hear about the bus options! Atik Nightclub bus stop is situated right outside the test centre, meaning you barely have to spend any time on your feet if you can catch a bus here!

For more information on the transport serving Gloucester, head over to the Gloucester City Council website.

By car

Of course, if someone is willing to give you a lift (or you can afford a taxi) you could always arrive at your theory test by car. Let the person driving know that the postcode of the test centre is GL1 1PX. Whether they use a sat nav or go old school with a map, this should get them to the right building.

Speaking of the building, you’re looking for Eastgate House, which is a brick building with black railings running along the street entrance. It is located just off the A430, so chances are you’ll be heading towards this road.

Parking

If the person driving you intends to drop you off and come back later to pick you up, it should be a fairly simple process. On the other hand, if the driver wishes to leave their car parked while you sit your test, they need to be aware that the test centre itself does not provide parking.

There are, however, some options close by. You can try Station Road car park (GL1 1QD) which is a very handy 3-minute walk from the test centre. Here you’ll be charged £2.20 for 2 hours of parking. If you have no luck there, make your way to Hampden Way car park (GL1 1SX). This one is 5 minutes away and charges the exact same price.
