Arriving at Harrogate Theory Test Centre

By public transport

Harrogate is an easy place to explore via public transport. In fact, the theory test centre is only half a mile away from Harrogate train station, meaning you can get from one to the other on foot in around 13 minutes.

If buses are more your thing, you’re in luck! There is a bus stop very close to the test centre. You should get off at the Cairn Hotel stop and from there it's a speedy 3-minute walk to the test centre.

For more information on the local transport, including full timetables, check out the Visit Harrogate website.

By car

Fancy travelling by car instead? That shouldn’t be a problem. Enter HG1 2HR into the sat nav and hit the road.

Parking

As is usually the case, the theory test centre itself does not provide parking. The best option nearby is probably the Jubilee car park. It’s 11-minutes away and charges a reasonable £2.80 for 2 hours of parking.

Pass Rates by Year

This theory test centre really shines when it comes to pass rates. Harrogate’s numbers sit consistently above the national average. Of course, that doesn’t actually mean you’ll probably get a better score if you take your theory test here rather than somewhere nearby—the test is exactly the same all over the country. How you do on the day is all down to how well you know the material!
