A Bit More About Golspie

So, what exactly can you expect from your driving test route in Golspie? For starters, your driving examiner will quickly guide you around the local roads. The town itself is rather small, so you won’t stay there long. Don’t assume it’ll be easy, though! You’ll have to deal with compact roads filled with local businesses and schools.

There are a couple of local car parks in the area, so your examiner might decide to have you demonstrate one of the driving test manoeuvres close to Golspie test centre. You may even be asked to perform an emergency stop, so be prepared!

The A9 runs through Golspie, so you’ll almost definitely be directed onto it during your test route. The examiner might take you up towards Brora, which has a wider range of residential roads, or down towards Dornoch. In either case, you’ll end up facing rural roads which will put your speed awareness and hazard perception skills to the test.

Golspie Test Pass Rates

Trying to figure out how challenging the driving test really is? Well, at the moment, the national average pass rate stands at 45.9%. This means that less than half of all learners end up passing their test first time. So, it’s clearly a difficult test, but it’s also not an impossible one.

Learners seem to fare much better at Golspie test centre, however, with pass rates coming in well over the national average. Don’t read too much into these stats, though, as it will be your hard work on the day of your test that will determine whether or not you pass.
