Practical Driving Test Centres in Tynemouth

The closest test centre for those in the local area will vary depending on where you live. If you’re in Tynemouth itself, or other areas close to the coast, then the South Shields test centre will probably be your best option. Alternatively, those living further west and closer to Newcastle will want to head to Gosforth. A good backup is the Sunderland driving test centre.

Theory Test Centres in Tynemouth

If we were to tell you that there were only two theory test centres in Tyne and Wear, you could probably guess where they were. So, it should come as little surprise when we say that local learners can either visit the Newcastle theory test centre to the west, or Sunderland theory test centre to the south.

Haven't taken your theory test yet?

You might be wondering why the theory test is so important. The reality is that, without passing it, you won’t be able to book a practical test. Understandably, this can lead to delays when it comes to your test date, and can even mean having to shift your lessons back. To avoid this hassle, simply add a theory test onto your PassMeFast course, and we’ll arrange it for you.

Driving Around Tynemouth

At PassMeFast, we’re firm believers that driving tuition needs to be both well-rounded and focused. As you start your lessons with us, you’ll be in your local area, taking to residential areas in places like North Shields as you work on basic skills such as clutch control and steering. As you improve, you’ll progress onto local A roads, such as Broadway and Beach Road.

Your training wouldn’t be complete, however, without an understanding of the area around your test centre of choice. This means you’ll spend some of your lessons in and around South Shields, Gosforth or Sunderland, depending on where your practical is booked. This way, you’ll be prepared for anything the examiner can throw at you. While it won’t necessarily mean a guaranteed pass or zero minors on your test, it will certainly help you to feel at ease on the big day.
